Head of Africa

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure operations run smoothly and effectively across African countries of operation.

• Standardize operational procedures throughout African nations to guarantee consistency and scalability.

• Spearhead the creation of new operational products and facilitate their successful integration across various markets.

• Formulate and implement strategies aimed at optimizing operational costs.

• Oversee African teams, which includes managing budgets, staffing, and operational processes.

• Direct the Machine Labelling Operations team, focusing on budgets, performance, and operational workflows.

• Supervise the regional team responsible for customized client deliverables, such as annual country summaries and prioritization of key issues across all countries.

• Lead the Operations team to enhance processes, boost efficiency, uphold operational excellence, manage contract reviews, and oversee global coverage data and client deliverables.

• Cultivate essential relationships with core supply chain partners.

• Act as a representative of Enveritas to external stakeholders and regional authorities.

• Provide support for additional projects and activities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in operations management, including a minimum of 3+ years in a senior leadership position overseeing multi-country or multi-team operations.

• Experience in the coffee, agriculture, sustainability, or certification/verification sectors is highly preferred.

• Proven success in managing and developing teams across various functions (operations, project management, business operations).

• Experience working in multiple African countries or markets, demonstrating strong cultural and contextual understanding of the region.

• Established ability to standardize processes and promote the adoption of new products or systems across diverse teams and geographies.

• Strong background in stakeholder management, ideally encompassing client relationships with corporates, NGOs, or supply chain partners.

• Experience with budget management and P&L or cost/revenue accountability.

• Familiarity with survey methodology, data standards, or quality assurance processes is advantageous.

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, capable of representing the organization credibly to external stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel regularly within Africa and internationally as required (10–20%).

• Fluency in English is mandatory.

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
