Head of Accounting, Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage accounting and financial reporting functions across the Group's entities and jurisdictions.

• Collaborate with local finance teams and external accounting service providers.

• Oversee the monthly and annual financial closing process.

• Prepare the monthly management reporting package.

• Supervise standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and relevant local regulations.

• Handle multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation activities.

• Ensure the consistent application of Group accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Coordinate statutory and Group audit processes.

• Ensure that trading, brokerage, and other operational activities are accurately represented in accounting records.

• Collaborate closely with Reconciliation, Treasury, Payments, and other pertinent functions.

• Ensure that financial information supporting regulatory, tax, and statutory reporting is accurate and reconciled.

• Drive standardization, automation, and continuous enhancement of accounting and financial reporting processes.

• Manage the implementation of a new ERP system and process automation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, along with a professional accounting qualification like ACCA, ACA, CPA, or an equivalent.

• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and practical experience in financial statement preparation.

• Extensive experience in a senior accounting, financial reporting, or financial control position.

• Proven experience in standalone and consolidated financial reporting within an international, multi-entity, and multi-currency group.

• Experience in managing external audits and statutory financial reporting processes.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical capabilities.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and significant hands-on experience with 1C accounting software.

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

• Prior experience in a CFD/FX broker, investment firm, fintech, payments business, or another regulated financial services organization is advantageous.

• Fluency in Russian is a considerable advantage.

• Experience with Big Four or other international audit firms is a plus.

• Familiarity with SAP Business One is an advantage.

• Experience in implementing or improving accounting, ERP, consolidation, or financial reporting systems.
