This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Managers.
• Establish individual and team quotas, ensuring accountability for achieving them.
• Conduct regular calls for pipeline management, renewals, and forecasts.
• Recruit, onboard, and train new Account Managers.
• Personally manage a select portfolio of strategic accounts.
• Oversee account renewals and growth initiatives directly.
• Exemplify best practices in renewal execution, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and relationship management with sponsors.
• Identify growth opportunities and build an expansion pipeline within existing accounts.
• Develop account segmentation and coverage strategies.
• Convert usage and performance metrics into strategies for growth and retention.
• Ensure Account Managers provide high-quality QBRs.
• Establish annual and quarterly account planning processes.
• Represent Account Management in cross-functional collaborations with Product, Services, Finance, and Commercial teams.
• Gather client insights and product feedback to inform roadmap priorities.
• Collaborate with Sales leadership on cross-selling and expansion strategies.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex client issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolutions.
• 10+ years of experience in Account Management or Customer Success in the SaaS industry, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role, preferably in tax technology, financial software, or similar sectors.
• Required: Experience in a startup or small company environment, demonstrating the capability to operate autonomously, handle multiple responsibilities, and establish processes as the business grows.
• Preferred: Experience with or exposure to private equity, including involvement with PE-backed portfolio companies or supporting PE/finance clients.
• Proven track record of setting and achieving team quotas, conducting pipeline and forecast reviews, and ensuring the team meets renewal and growth targets.
• A player/coach mentality: willing to manage accounts directly while also building and leading a team.
• Strong understanding of tax workflows and reporting, such as K-1, partnerships, or fund structures, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
• Experience in coaching a team on building executive relationships, negotiating renewals, and conducting structured business reviews.
• Data-driven mindset with proficiency in using CRM and analytics tools to forecast, monitor account health, and identify growth opportunities.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, adopting a consultative and solution-oriented approach.
