HCM Cloud SAFe Agile Coach, Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Act as the Scrum Master for one or more cross-functional Agile teams associated with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM modules.

• Facilitate SAFe Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and inspect-and-adapt sessions.

• Serve in a supportive role for the Release Train Engineer during the planning and execution of PI Planning events.

• Coordinate PI objectives, identify dependencies across teams, and set realistic commitments.

• Monitor and report Agile metrics like velocity, throughput, cycle time, cumulative flow, defect rates, and PI predictability.

• Identify, track, and eliminate impediments, escalating systemic issues as necessary and aiding in the resolution of cross-team dependencies.

• Coach team members, product owners, and stakeholders on SAFe Lean-Agile principles and Scrum methodologies.

• Oversee cross-team planning for Oracle quarterly update sprints, which includes update assessment, regression testing, and deployment activities.

• Facilitate ART sync meetings, Scrum of Scrums, and system demonstrations.

• Adapt Agile practices to agency migration phases and appropriately scale ceremonies.

• Maintain and enhance JIRA and Confluence for backlog management, sprint tracking, and program-level reporting.

• Lead inspect-and-adapt workshops and promote actionable improvements.

• Analyze and resolve complex functional and technical challenges independently.

• Mentor junior team members and act as a program-wide Agile resource.

• Lead small work efforts and technical initiatives, conduct reviews of deliverables, and guide junior consultants on best practices for Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• US Citizenship is required.

• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience; additional experience may compensate for the degree.

• Over 7 years of professional experience in Agile coaching, Scrum Master roles, or Agile delivery within enterprise IT programs.

• Current SAFe certification (SA, SSM, SASM, or SPC).

• More than 5 years of practical experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach for teams of 7–12 members in enterprise software development or implementation settings.

• Proven experience facilitating PI Planning, managing program-level backlogs, and coordinating cross-team dependencies within SAFe Agile Release Trains.

• Strong skills in facilitation and conflict resolution.

• Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Rally.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Up to 10% travel may be required.

• Desired: Over 8 years of experience in Agile coaching or as a Scrum Master, including enterprise-scale SAFe implementations involving 5 or more Agile teams.

• Desired: Experience as a Release Train Engineer responsible for ART-level planning and execution.

• Desired: Multiple SAFe certifications.

• Desired: Experience coaching Agile teams in Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, Oracle ERP Cloud, or similar enterprise SaaS environments.

• Desired: Knowledge of federal IT program delivery, government contracting, and Agile implementation in regulated environments.

• Desired: Experience with SAFe Lean Portfolio Management practices.

• Desired: ICAgile ICP-ACC or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP-SM) certification.

• Desired: Experience with Oracle Cloud technologies such as OIC or OCI within an enterprise HCM or ERP context.
