This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create complex single-turn prompts within the hazardous-device and public-safety sector.

• Classify prompts as benign, dual-use, or adversarial.

• Assess model outputs against an established policy benchmark.

• Evaluate if responses were managed appropriately.

• Develop reference answers that explain correct responses and the underlying technical rationale.

• Conduct red-team exercises on frontier AI models to evaluate misuse potential.

• Maintain ongoing reading and writing about misuse scenarios in the relevant field.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a certified bomb technician or hazardous device operator, military EOD expert with civilian public safety training or instruction, bomb squad leader or training officer, post-blast investigator/device reconstruction specialist, or CBRNE technical response expert.

• Proven experience in assessing actual devices, especially in render-safe and post-incident operations.

• Capability to differentiate between standard professional inquiries and harmful or inappropriate requests.

• Ideally possess red-teaming experience.

• Excellent writing skills with the ability to articulate rationales that are comprehensible to non-specialists.

• Previous technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience is highly regarded.

• Must refrain from using classified or export-controlled information, NDA-protected information, or data subject to prepublication review requirements.

• Required to disclose any such obligations to appropriately scope work.

• A technical writing sample or link must be provided if available.
