
Hardline Medical Devices Business Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.
• Propel business expansion by identifying and leveraging opportunities for Medical Devices testing, inspection, and certification solutions.
• Lead and manage task-force teams focused on Medical Devices across Hardlines, Connectivity, and associated business-assurance units in North America.
• Foster sustainable growth and aim for double-digit annual growth targets.
• Formulate the Medical Devices strategy and create plans for greenfield growth and acquisitions.
• Assist Medical Devices divisions and North American business-assurance teams through regular meetings, market intelligence, opportunities, leads, and RFQs.
• Conduct market research on industry trends, competitive landscape, and growth prospects within the Medical Devices ecosystem.
• Update management on the North American Medical Devices testing market size and trends.
• Establish and nurture relationships with clients, suppliers, regulators, and industry associations.
• Develop and oversee sales and marketing strategies alongside North American Medical Devices sales teams.
• Prepare tailored proposals that highlight the value of SGS Medical Devices services.
• Coordinate with the SGS Group and other regions when services are unavailable in North America.
• Deliver regular reports on performance, market insights, and growth opportunities to management.
• Postgraduate-level intellectual capabilities; academic and/or professional qualifications in any field are acknowledged if the candidate demonstrates the ability to apply learning skills effectively in the role.
• A major in Medical Devices Engineering or Biocompatibility is preferred.
• Exceptional command of written and spoken English.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Medical Devices manufacturing companies.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in a Medical Devices-related TIC company, including lab engineering, with 5+ years in sales/business development.
• Over 5 years of P&L and management experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong insight into Medical Devices industry/customer trends, supplier dynamics, materials development trends, and sustainability practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Medical Devices regulations, particularly FDA 510(k), ASCA, and pre-approval compliance.
• Proficient in CRM software such as Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and Power BI.
• Proven track record of achieving or surpassing P&L targets and business growth objectives.
• Outstanding negotiation and presentation skills.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• Ability to perform under pressure and resilience to overcome setbacks.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows as necessary.
