This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Drive new business and foster long-term customer success within the California/Nevada region.
• Support PreK–12 schools and districts by providing student-facing software, professional learning for educators, and implementation services.
• Initiate and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in the education market.
• Develop, manage, and execute territory plans to meet quotas and align with company strategic goals across both new and established accounts.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure product adoption, measure impact, and facilitate renewal success.
• Conduct both in-person and virtual presentations for district-level stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain relationships with superintendents, curriculum directors, technology leaders, and procurement officers.
• Create tailored professional proposals and strategic communications that align with district goals, funding sources, and instructional needs.
• Work with internal teams and sales leadership to devise data-driven strategies, address district challenges, and enhance team performance.
• Maintain accurate records in Salesforce, manage pipeline health, and provide forecasts and market insights to leadership.
• Analyze trends within the territory, funding shifts, and the competitive landscape.
• Represent Lexia at regional conferences, webinars, and networking events.
• Travel up to 50% within the territory while utilizing virtual tools for stakeholder engagement and sales productivity.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• At least 5 years of successful experience in business development, sales, and account management is necessary.
• Experience in selling or working with technology-based curriculum products; a focus on Literacy/Reading products is highly preferred.
• A comprehensive understanding of the K–12 education landscape, including funding cycles, decision-making hierarchies, and instructional priorities, is highly preferred.
• Proven knowledge of the geographical territory and existing contacts in K-12 education.
• Demonstrated ability to identify client needs, propose customized solutions, and successfully close complex deals to consistently meet revenue targets.
• A strong and ongoing record of achieving sales goals, closing business, and managing a pipeline of opportunities within large, complex districts in the assigned territory.
• Proficient in using CRM (Salesforce), MS Office, Google Suites, video conferencing software, and other technology-based productivity tools.
• Proven ability to deliver clear and concise product presentations to groups and decision-makers, both in-person and via video conferencing.
• A collaborative mindset with the capacity to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays.
• Must reside and work within California or Nevada, US.
• A reliable cable or fiber-optic broadband internet connection with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required for remote work.
