This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of Starlink’s strategy and execution for consumer subscriber growth in California, including the responsibility for ambitious growth objectives.
• Act as the local market leader for Starlink, focusing on brand awareness, customer acquisition, partnerships, and performance metrics.
• Implement business development strategies to enhance Starlink’s consumer presence throughout California.
• Identify, assess, and establish customer acquisition channels with internet service providers, affiliates, utilities, retailers, installers, real estate partners, community organizations, and local government entities.
• Lead the execution of deals from opportunity identification to commercial agreements and partner launches.
• Represent Starlink in external engagements with potential commercial partners and community stakeholders.
• Oversee local marketing and awareness campaigns, including field marketing, community events, trade shows, retail activations, and grassroots initiatives.
• Enhance Starlink’s brand visibility and presence across California.
• Gather and analyze customer and partner feedback to inform product offerings, pricing strategies, and market entry approaches.
• Monitor and report on subscriber acquisition performance, partner effectiveness, and the ROI of campaigns and growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with sales, product, marketing, operations, engineering, and finance teams to implement scalable growth programs.
• Design and execute pilot programs and growth experiments to identify effective acquisition channels.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, partnerships, growth, sales, marketing, consulting, or operations.
• Availability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75% or more to customer sites and other SpaceX locations.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, a refugee, or an asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR regulations.
• Preferred: 4 or more years of relevant experience.
• Preferred: expertise in consumer purchasing behaviors in California, especially in rural regions.
• Preferred: background in consumer technology, telecommunications, broadband, utilities, or subscription services.
• Preferred: experience in building and scaling local or regional partnerships and distribution channels.
• Preferred: experience in local marketing, field marketing, or community growth.
• Preferred: experience in launching and expanding products in California.
• Preferred: proven track record of managing projects from start to finish and delivering quantifiable growth outcomes.
• Preferred: exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Preferred: strong analytical abilities with comfort in tracking funnel metrics, conversion rates, and ROI.
