This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee all incoming inquiries related to groups, weddings, social events, and buyouts.
• Assess leads based on availability, seasonal trends, operational feasibility, and strategic alignment.
• Create customized proposals and itineraries tailored to client needs.
• Engage in sales discussions through negotiation and contract finalization.
• Address incoming RFPs and sales inquiries via relevant platforms and channels.
• Monitor inquiry volumes, response times, conversion rates, and revenue outcomes.
• Assist in developing group sales strategies, pricing structures, minimum stay conditions, and sales criteria.
• Recognize opportunities for repeat group business and referrals.
• Represent Fogo Island Inn during sales calls, client meetings, trade events, and familiarization visits as necessary.
• Facilitate formal sales transitions for confirmed group bookings and conduct handoff meetings with the Group & Events Manager.
• Organize reservations for groups making individual bookings and payments.
• Conduct site visits and lead sales-oriented tours.
• Remain accessible after handoff for any commercial or contractual issues and future business growth.
• Assist with post-event follow-ups to secure future bookings and repeat clients.
• Record commercial insights and opportunities in the CRM system.
• Collaborate on forecasting, pacing, and pipeline analysis.
• Oversee group deposits, payment timelines, and contractual milestones in conjunction with Finance and Reservations.
• Minimum of 3 years in group, catering, or events sales within a luxury hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
• Proven success in converting inquiries into confirmed contracts.
• Experience in crafting personalized proposals, negotiating agreements, and implementing pricing strategies.
• Familiarity with CRM/sales platforms; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
• Strong grasp of group, wedding, social, and buyout sales cycles.
• Understanding of seasonal impacts and operational limitations unique to a small luxury property.
• Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills with high-value clientele.
• Ability to juggle multiple simultaneous opportunities with outstanding organization, precision, and responsiveness.
• Must possess a valid Canadian driver’s license.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Starting salary ranging from $60K to $70K.
