This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design and manage PMO operations, encompassing intake, governance frameworks, tools, and reporting standards.
• Define and uphold the business case standard for portfolio initiatives.
• Create a unified system of record for Product and PMO.
• Oversee portfolio reporting and maintain data quality.
• Identify systemic execution and delivery risks across Engineering, Credit, Fraud, Analytics, Sales, and Marketing, along with action plans.
• Establish delivery risk cadence and oversee cross-functional dependencies.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Analytics on quarterly initiative roadmaps and sequencing.
• Frame portfolio trade-offs with a commercial perspective.
• Manage quarterly resource planning and cross-portfolio resource visibility across Engineering and Analytics.
• Conduct steering committee meetings and portfolio review sessions.
• Oversee initiative-level budget tracking and benefits realization.
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure portfolio-level spend visibility and provide monthly narrative inputs for the portfolio.
• Manage and mentor project managers through coaching and career development.
• Utilize AI to automate Product Operations workstreams, including timeline mapping, risk identification, sequencing, and task assignment.
• Work directly with the VP of Product and lead the PMO team.
• Over 10 years of experience in program or portfolio management.
• At least 3 years in a senior role within fintech, financial services, or a similarly intricate environment.
• Proven experience in owning the commercial narrative for a portfolio and crafting the “so what” story for C-suite executives.
• Extensive knowledge in identifying delivery risks across various business functions.
• Established executive presence with CTOs, CFOs, or capital markets partners.
• Experience in designing, building, or revamping a PMO operating model, intake frameworks, governance, and reporting standards in a growth-stage organization.
• Strong financial acumen, including budget management, cost of delay analysis, and ROI framing.
• Demonstrated success in talent development, managing senior professionals, and creating clear growth pathways.
• Background in lending, payments, or broader financial services is highly preferred.
