This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop the product operations and transformation function.

• Own the operating model and portfolio governance, encompassing cadence, metrics standards, tooling standards, and budget-backed decision rights.

• Manage the team responsible for creating shared tools, which includes reviews, feedback, hiring, onboarding, and training.

• Gradually transition to overseeing the product aspect of one or more delivery squads.

• Propel the implementation of Ford Pro’s Domain/Squad operating model.

• Define squad formation, ownership, dependencies, and accountability practices.

• Train teams on new processes and manage organizational change effectively.

• Identify, codify, and disseminate best practices across teams.

• Support the adoption of AI-intensive software and product practices.

• Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to enhance AI skills and agentic workflows.

• Develop playbooks and enablement resources for consistent AI practices.

• Map AI adoption and delivery to business value while creating executive readouts.

• Automate reporting activities, including feedback aggregation, theme extraction, release notes, experiment summaries, and dashboards.

• Design, deploy, and govern AI tooling for product managers and builders.

• Manage the internal AI knowledge base and context layer grounded in Ford Pro data.

• Define AI shipping, review, experimentation, data governance, intellectual property, and security guardrails.

• Build and operate shared products, tooling, and datasets.

• Create reusable LLM skills and agentic workflows.

• Prioritize the shared-solution backlog.

• Establish roadmap reviews, product reviews, planning rituals, cross-squad syncs, and sharing forums.

• Set standards for Jira/Atlassian and Jira Product Discovery.

• Build portfolio visibility across roadmaps, shipments, tradeoffs, dependencies, and business value.

• Define and govern KPIs and outcome metrics.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

• Present to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Advance product operations practices and foster the product community of practice.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• 10+ years of experience in product management, product operations, transformation, or program leadership within a software or technology-intensive organization.

• 5+ years of leadership experience, including building and managing teams and direct reports.

• Proven track record of implementing new operating models and driving genuine adoption across multiple teams.

• Familiarity with AI tools relevant to product management, design, and engineering.

• Strong understanding of agile software delivery methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, along with supporting rituals, metrics, and tooling.

• Comprehensive knowledge of modern product management practices and the entire product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery.

• Experience in defining KPIs and OKRs, as well as creating executive-level reporting, roadmaps, and portfolio governance.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, establish direction, and hold senior product and engineering leaders accountable while paying attention to details.

• Recent hands-on product management experience with readiness to support squads or potentially lead a group of squads.

• Practical experience embedding AI and agentic workflows into product and software development processes.

• Background in developing or operating software for fleets, connected vehicles, telematics, or operationally intensive B2B SaaS domains.

• Experience with Jira Product Discovery or similar tools and modern product analytics platforms.

• Familiarity with Lean, Lean Startup, and human-centered product development practices.

• MBA or equivalent qualifications, along with relevant product or agile certifications, are preferred.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
