This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Define and spearhead the product vision, strategy, roadmap, OKRs, and success metrics for the SMB Accounting division.
• Take ownership of accounting and bookkeeping product decisions, ensuring a balance between usability, accuracy, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Tax and cross-platform partners to streamline accounting and tax workflows.
• Oversee and enhance the mobile accounting experience while aligning engineering, design, and business stakeholders on mobile direction.
• Build a high-performing team by utilizing best practices in continuous product discovery and modern SDLC methodologies.
• Lead user research, manage the roadmap and backlog, and drive hypothesis-driven experimentation.
• Inspire, align, and influence across engineering, design, and business functions.
• Secure resources, coordinate technology and design efforts, and navigate cross-functional challenges and dependencies.
• Develop business cases, comprehend financial impacts, and establish and execute business and customer benefit OKRs.
• Utilize data to prioritize opportunities, showcase product value, and influence KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for AI to enhance team productivity and integrate customer value into the accounting product.
• Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives, coaching, and refining team processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data-related field, or a similar discipline, or equivalent education and relevant work experience.
• Direct experience in the small business accounting or tax software sector.
• Insight into SMB customers, their financial workflows, and establishing trust in their accounting practices.
• Proven track record in defining and delivering mobile product experiences; experience in mobile product delivery is a must.
• Extensive SaaS product-building experience, ideally in both early-stage and scaled environments, with a focus on financial or business services.
• Capability to identify and leverage AI-enabled features and workflows.
• Strong leadership experience, particularly in guiding Product Managers, nurturing talent, setting priorities, and building high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to define product strategy, derive requirements, analyze trade-offs, and prioritize investments across multiple teams and stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to clearly explain technical and financial concepts to non-technical audiences and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen, including constructing business cases, assessing trade-offs, and aligning product investments with customer value, company priorities, and financial outcomes.
• 8+ years of experience in product management, including leading large, mission-critical products that involve significant business and technology changes.
• A minimum of 2+ years in a managerial role.
