This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Spearhead and execute the Learning & Development Strategy for EMED Group in alignment with the People Strategy and organizational goals.
• Identify skill gaps and create learning solutions in collaboration with the Chief People Officer, executive leadership, senior leaders, and operational leaders.
• Design and manage leadership and management development programs, including the Manager Acceleration Programme.
• Oversee succession planning and talent development in partnership with HR Business Partners and senior leaders.
• Work alongside training, clinical, quality, governance, safeguarding, information governance, health and safety, and operational teams to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality patient care.
• Optimize the use of the Apprenticeship Levy and establish apprenticeship pathways.
• Advocate for professional qualifications and structured development pathways.
• Direct internal communication channels to disseminate corporate news, organizational priorities, celebrations, successes, and key messages.
• Ensure that internal communications enhance engagement, change, culture, colleague voice, and a shared organizational identity.
• Lead social value initiatives through the EMED Foundation.
• Assist with EMED Foundation campaigns, colleague participation, and governance through the Trustees.
• Develop social value, employability, outreach, and partnership initiatives with the Talent Resourcing team.
• Forge partnerships related to charity, community, education, and resourcing.
• Integrate lived experiences into colleague learning and induction, including a patient-focused dialysis experience video.
• Outline a budget and ensure that patient-focused content fosters empathy, awareness, and patient-centered practices.
• Enhance EMED's external value proposition with charitable and social value partners, including content for proposals.
• Strategically plan, prioritize, maintain budget awareness, and provide leadership for the Learning & Development function.
• Expertise in strategic communication, stakeholder influence, and decisive communication during periods of uncertainty.
• Capability to adjust long-term plans and organizational strategies in response to evolving needs.
• Skill in aligning team efforts with organizational objectives and establishing clear metrics.
• Financial acumen for effective decision-making.
• Ability to empower team members, encourage shared accountability, and mentor others.
• Customer- and patient-focused strategic decision-making skills.
• Expertise in developing and articulating a compelling vision for learning and organizational capability.
• Experience or capability in succession planning, talent pipelines, mentoring, sponsorship, and leadership development.
• Proficiency in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders on a strategic level.
• Ability to lead initiatives related to learning, engagement, social value, and change.
• Competence in communicating the rationale for change and managing resistance constructively.
• Capacity to foster innovation, continuous improvement, and learning.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally as required.
