This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.
• Centralize and enhance the Group Company Car Fleet, consisting of over 4,000 vehicles.
• Assume responsibility for and carry out the existing centralization initiative.
• Improve and execute the target operating model, governance structure, and migration strategy for each country/entity.
• Oversee the transformation as a cross-functional project.
• Develop and standardize a company-wide car policy framework in accordance with HR/total rewards, tax, and works council requirements.
• Create transparency regarding total cost of ownership and identify savings through standardization, pooling, contract renegotiation, and demand management.
• Coordinate RFPs and tenders for leasing, fleet management, insurance/claims, fuel, and charging card providers.
• Streamline the provider landscape and manage external providers effectively.
• Negotiate group framework agreements with Group Procurement, focusing on fleet requirements and specifications.
• Recommend vehicle options and powertrain combinations by user group based on TCO, operational needs, and regulatory outlook.
• Manage charging solutions and reimbursement models for electric vehicles.
• Oversee fleet CO₂ reporting and supply fleet data for CSRD/ESG reporting purposes.
• Select and implement a group fleet management system.
• Define master data standards and establish interfaces with HR, accounting, and providers.
• Develop standardized KPI reporting.
• Ensure group-wide adherence to holder and duty-of-care obligations under applicable local laws.
• Guarantee sufficient insurance coverage and implement internal controls.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Group-level fleet matters.
• Collaborate with country management, Group Procurement, Finance/Controlling, and employee representatives.
• Handle escalations and communicate changes to approximately 4,000 drivers.
• Create concepts for expanding the function to encompass broader mobility benefits.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification as a fleet manager is advantageous.
• Over 5 years of experience in fleet management, mobility services, automotive leasing, or category management for vehicle fleets.
• Proven success in tendering and negotiating leasing/fleet service contracts.
• Experience managing external providers through SLAs and KPIs.
• Background in centralization, outsourcing, or transformation projects within an international, multi-entity setting.
• Ability to operate effectively without formal line authority over country organizations.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills.
• Experience with TCO modeling and business case development.
• Proficient use of Excel/BI tools.
• Familiarity with fleet management software and telematics data is a plus.
• Working knowledge of the regulatory and tax context of company cars, including benefit-in-kind taxation, holder liability, and insurance in at least one core ALDI SÜD market.
• Interest in broader corporate mobility offerings, such as mobility budgets, bike leasing, and shared mobility.
• Hands-on, structured, and resilient approach.
• Comfortable driving change against established local practices.
• Diplomatic skills to maintain stakeholder engagement.
• Business-fluent in English.
• Proficiency in an additional language of an ALDI SÜD country is a plus.
