Grants Manager, Partnerships

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Support the identification and pursuit of funding opportunities at the federal, state, local, utility, and private levels to enhance EV charging infrastructure and promote transportation electrification.

• Oversee the complete RFP and grant development process, from assessing opportunities and formulating proposal strategies to writing, coordinating with partners, developing budgets and timelines, submitting proposals, and managing post-award reporting.

• Initiate electric vehicle charging initiatives in collaboration with municipal agencies, utilities, community organizations, fleet operators, and technology partners.

• Identify, nurture, and oversee relationships with potential and current partners.

• Lead initial discussions to comprehend partner requirements, objectives, and priorities while identifying opportunities for collaboration.

• Act as a primary contact for external partners throughout the development of projects and funding processes.

• Ensure alignment on project scope, roles and responsibilities, timelines, and funding prerequisites.

• Coordinate cross-departmental proposal development involving engineering, finance, business development, deployment, and executive leadership.

• Manage contributions, deadlines, compliance obligations, and submission workflows.

• Oversee the organization’s grant and RFP pipeline, monitoring opportunities, active contracts, reporting obligations, and deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing, proposal development, business development, partnerships, project management, or a closely related field.

• Background in EV charging, transportation electrification, clean energy, climate technology, infrastructure, or a related sector.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with a proven track record of creating clear, persuasive, and well-structured proposals.

• Strong project management and organizational capabilities, including the capacity to juggle multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.

• Ability to independently oversee projects while effectively collaborating within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

• A bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental studies, business, public policy, communication, or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with federal, state, and utility grants, rebates, incentives, RFPs, and public-sector procurement processes.

• Experience in fostering partnerships between private entities and government agencies, utilities, municipalities, or community organizations.

• Knowledge of federal and state clean transportation funding initiatives.

• Experience in grant management, compliance, and post-award reporting processes.

• Familiarity with CRM or project management software.
