This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist Principal Investigators during the pre-award phase of sponsored projects.
• Prepare and submit proposals for fellowships and training grants.
• Assemble complete grant applications in accordance with agency and university requirements.
• Collect information for non-technical sections of proposals.
• Act as the intermediary between PIs, DBBS, and Department Administrators.
• Stay updated on federal and university changes related to research administration and intricate regulations.
• Gather and verify accurate data for regulatory compliance.
• Input grant budgeting documents into online systems.
• Secure signatures from PIs and the institution for proposal submissions.
• Distribute internal award notifications and sponsor documents to SPA and PIs.
• Oversee and coordinate annual reports for agencies, including RPPRs.
• Collaborate with SPA for precise and timely budget setup.
• Handle grant closure processes and manage forms documentation.
• Coordinate responses to inquiries related to grants.
• Maintain an online database tracking grants that have been submitted, awarded, or rejected.
• Address accounting discrepancies and manage end-of-year processes.
• Oversee fund management and implement necessary budget adjustments.
• Approve purchasing documents and direct appropriate grant expenditures.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• Potential travel to conferences or training sessions.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may fulfill minimum educational requirements.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with RMS (Research Management System) is preferred.
• Understanding of agency guidelines is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong analytical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
• Computer literacy is essential.
• Effective deadline management skills.
• Experience in grant administration.
• Familiarity with grant applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Workday Software.
• No specific certification or professional license is necessary.
• A driver's license is not a requirement.
