Graduate Engineer – Grid Modernization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement Medium Voltage Distribution Grid Modernization initiatives.

• Utilize advanced methodologies, theories, principles, and practices to address intricate project components.

• Offer expert advice on the planning, development, and execution of technical strategies and systems.

• Create grid modernization solution proposals, encompassing project design standards and distribution planning.

• Conduct load flow analyses.

• Evaluate DER interconnection requests.

• Execute protection coordination analyses.

• Engage in technology research.

• Maintain communication with clients.

• Define scope, estimate costs, and schedule project timelines.

• Complete assigned responsibilities under guidance.

• Proactively manage personal workload.

• Review project drawings, calculations, and specifications under supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is mandatory.

• Graduation from an ABET-accredited program or its equivalent is essential.

• EIT certification is advantageous.

• Prior experience with or for a Utility is preferred.

• Must possess analytical skills and be self-driven.

• Capability to perform under pressure while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic demeanor.

• Exceptional presentation and verbal/written communication abilities.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to build and sustain effective working relationships.

• Familiarity with Distribution Load Flow software such as DNV GL Synergi Electric, Milsoft Windmil, or CYME Dist is preferred.

• Experience with Distributed Energy Resource (DER) interconnections is a plus.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access is required.

• Must be authorized to work permanently in the United States.
