Government Contracting Finance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist in fulfilling federal, state, local, and Department of Transportation (DOT) contract finance obligations.

• Oversee project/job accounting and the labor charging framework.

• Ensure compliance with FAR Part 31 and AASHTO indirect-rate regulations.

• Develop pricing models, labor rates, indirect rates, and proposal timelines.

• Analyze contract financial obligations, billing processes, and overall profitability.

• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Legal, Human Resources, and Pursuits teams.

• Provide support for competitive government procurement processes and finance-related inquiries throughout the sales cycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in supporting an organization with a substantial government/B2G revenue stream, with direct involvement in the financial aspects of competitive government procurements.

• Over 7 years of experience in government contracting finance or project accounting.

• Familiarity with FAR, AASHTO, state DOTs, or government contracting entities.

• Proficient in Excel and possess strong financial analysis capabilities.

• Practical and hands-on approach; comfortable working within a growing organization.

• Capability to meet federal, state, local, and DOT contract finance requirements.

• Experience in maintaining project/job accounting and labor charging systems.

• Understanding of FAR Part 31 and AASHTO indirect-rate compliance.

• Location: Remote, with a strong preference for candidates based on the East Coast.
