This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and evaluate government consulting opportunities that align with AlphaGov’s offerings.
• Cultivate relationships with agency leaders, program managers, HR executives, and procurement teams.
• Recognize future requirements through agency priorities, procurement forecasts, direct outreach, and industry events.
• Establish teaming and subcontracting partnerships with government contractors and consulting firms.
• Assist in bid/no-bid decisions and capture planning by providing buyer insights, competitive intelligence, and positioning recommendations.
• Collaborate with the proposal team on sources-sought notices, requests for information, and competitive solicitations.
• Keep records of opportunities, expected procurement timelines, and next steps.
• Adhere to applicable procurement communication guidelines and AlphaGov’s opportunity approval process.
• Build relationships and pursue qualified opportunities that lead to business growth.
• Minimum of three years of experience in business development focused on selling services to federal, state, or local government.
• Proven track record of generating opportunities, forming productive teaming relationships, or assisting in securing government contracts.
• Familiarity with public procurement processes, competitive solicitations, and government sales cycles.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and opportunity qualification abilities.
• Capability to articulate personal contributions to prior pursuits and their outcomes.
• Proficient in independently developing a pipeline and sustaining momentum through extended procurement cycles.
• Experience in either federal contracting or state and local government is acceptable.
• Preferred: background in selling consulting, workforce services, research, analytics, organizational improvement, or program evaluation.
• Preferred: established connections with buyers in AlphaGov’s service areas.
• Preferred: experience in capture management for competitive government opportunities.
• Preferred: expertise in developing partnerships with prime contractors and subcontractors.
• Direct collaboration with the Managing Partner.
• Dedicated proposal support for approved opportunities.
• Access to subject-matter experts for opportunity evaluation and technical insights.
• Defined consulting services with a collaborative approach to capture strategy.
• Commission-based compensation for independent contractor roles; commission rates and terms agreed upon in writing before work commences.
• Potential W-2 employment for highly qualified candidates, with compensation and employment terms discussed during the selection process.
