This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Assist in the development and execution of proactive strategies, processes, and workflows to ensure compliance with trade regulations.
• Oversee the export classification workflow and documentation procedures.
• Collaborate with product, offering, engineering, and legal teams.
• Support program risk assessments, enhancements to compliance programs, and the planning and execution of projects.
• Regularly maintain and revise policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Create new procedures and work instructions as necessary.
• Lead the planning and execution of audits and risk assessments in conjunction with Legal and other stakeholders.
• Formulate annual targeted trade compliance training plans for the company.
• Aid in the preparation of training materials and monitor training attendance and completion rates.
• Coordinate the planning and execution of trade-compliance-focused mergers and acquisitions integration.
• Work alongside Autodesk’s global trade compliance professionals as part of the Legal Compliance team.
• Extensive experience with US export controls and economic sanctions programs, including restricted party list screening, end-user and end-use controls, country-based license requirements, and OFAC sanctions programs.
• Proven experience in the development, implementation, and enhancement of trade compliance programs.
• Capability to create and implement process improvements, featuring automated tools and workflows.
• Openness to utilizing AI enhancements to boost efficiency and compliance.
• Previous experience in scoping and conducting internal audits and assessments, along with formulating and tracking corrective actions.
• Experience in trade compliance integration for acquired entities, encompassing export control and sanctions list screening requirements.
• Knowledge of export classification processes.
• Background in the software, cloud services, or IT sectors.
• Comfortable engaging with business teams.
• Strong verbal and analytical abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong orientation towards teamwork.
• Dedication to professionalism, adaptability, solid business insight, and readiness to work beyond standard business hours.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Experience with EU and UK export control and sanctions programs is advantageous.
• Familiarity with encryption controls and the ITAR is beneficial.
• Previous experience in the manufacturing sector is advantageous.
