This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year global research and evidence-generation strategy for the Patient Care Solutions portfolio.

• Identify gaps in evidence and requirements that support product development, validation, regulatory submissions, market access, and marketing claims.

• Provide guidance to leadership regarding research priorities, investment strategies, portfolio governance, and long-term evidence planning.

• Set metrics and governance frameworks for research investments.

• Oversee a global portfolio encompassing clinical, real-world evidence, digital health, outcomes research, and health economic studies.

• Lead and mentor a global team of around 10 professionals.

• Manage prospective, retrospective, pragmatic, adaptive, database, and multi-site research programs.

• Assess study concepts, protocols, endpoints, and methodologies.

• Propel dissemination efforts through peer-reviewed publications, scientific congresses, and evidence-based communications.

• Formulate the strategy for the global health economics and outcomes research program.

• Produce evidence concerning cost of care, workflow efficiency, resource utilization, operational performance, patient and clinician outcomes, and economic value.

• Build strategic partnerships with academic medical centers, healthcare systems, investigators, research networks, professional societies, and key opinion leaders.

• Lead senior-level research partnerships, scientific steering committees, and governance initiatives.

• Represent Patient Care Solutions and GE HealthCare in the scientific community.

• Develop and oversee the global research budget and multi-year investment strategy.

• Establish processes for portfolio prioritization and identify external funding and collaborative research opportunities.

• Communicate portfolio performance, risks, and investment recommendations to executive leadership.

• Ensure adherence to regulations, ethical standards, quality requirements, and company policies.

• Integrate research strategies into product roadmaps, regulatory plans, clinical evidence strategies, and commercialization efforts.

• Promote scientific excellence, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in medicine, nursing, public health, epidemiology, health economics, engineering, biomedical science, or a related clinical or scientific discipline.

• At least 8 years of experience in clinical research methodologies, real-world evidence, health economics, outcomes research, or company and investigator-initiated studies.

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in clinical research, medical affairs, evidence generation, health economics, research collaborations, or related roles within the healthcare, medical technology, life sciences, or academic sectors.

• At least 5 years of managerial experience in the MedTech, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries, overseeing global research portfolios, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Proven expertise in global research regulations, quality systems, and human-subject research requirements.

• Successful track record of strategic partnerships with healthcare systems, academic institutions, and scientific leaders.

• Proficient in statistical analytics, power analysis, and predictive enrollment modeling.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no employment visa sponsorship available.

• MD, PhD, MPH, DrPH, or a related master’s degree is preferred.

• Experience in relevant patient care, digital health, AI-enabled medical technologies, and/or informatics fields is preferred.

• Experience in integrating clinical, economic, and market evidence into product strategy and business planning is preferred.

• Established network of academic, clinical, and scientific partners is preferred.

• Experience in representing research leadership to global regulatory bodies, including FDA and MDR CE mark initiatives, is preferred.

• A history of publications, scientific presentations, and leadership in professional organizations is preferred.
