Global Process Owner – Production Planning, Manufacturing Execution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and oversee the comprehensive global production planning and manufacturing execution process across various regions and sites.

• Establish and uphold global process policies, controls, design standards, and decision-making principles.

• Serve as the primary authority for process-related decisions, including evaluating and approving change requests and deviations from the global template.

• Create and document global processes utilizing SAP best practices while ensuring they meet the operational needs of the business.

• Identify opportunities to streamline, harmonize, automate, and enhance production planning and manufacturing execution.

• Define and track performance indicators, including planning stability, schedule adherence, production performance, inventory accuracy, quality, and compliance.

• Leverage performance data, site feedback, and operational results to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with global and site teams to facilitate process alignment, adoption, and efficient change management.

• Act as the liaison between business operations and IT, translating operational requirements into effective SAP solutions.

• Lead structured communication with stakeholders, facilitate decision-making, and proactively identify risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in production planning or manufacturing execution within a global or multi-site manufacturing context.

• Proficiency with SAP ERP, preferably including SAP S/4HANA Production Planning and Manufacturing as well as global template implementations.

• A minimum of five years of relevant experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, manufacturing execution, supply chain, or process management.

• Comprehensive understanding of material requirements planning, capacity planning, production scheduling, shop-floor execution, production order management, material consumption, confirmations, and production performance.

• Proven track record in process design, governance, standardization, and continuous improvement.

• This position is remote and can be based in Portugal or the UK.
