This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the senior commercial owner and primary strategic relationship manager for designated global key accounts.
• Create and implement multi-year global account strategies encompassing revenue, profitability, share-of-wallet, strategic priorities, relationships, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities.
• Evaluate customer strategies, market positioning, financial performance, product portfolios, technology roadmaps, manufacturing footprints, sourcing strategies, supply chain priorities, and growth objectives.
• Identify whitespace, cross-selling opportunities, geographic expansion possibilities, and avenues for deeper strategic engagement.
• Cultivate relationships across Procurement, Engineering, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, business-unit leadership, and executive management.
• Oversee QBRs, Executive Business Reviews, executive sponsorship meetings, innovation workshops, and strategic planning sessions.
• Responsible for revenue, profitable growth, retention, and pipeline performance for assigned accounts.
• Develop and sustain qualified opportunity pipelines that align with account plans and MTS priorities.
• Enhance MTS participation throughout customer products, programs, applications, business units, and manufacturing sites.
• Spearhead the cross-selling of medical-grade materials, precision components, value-added solutions, and contract development and manufacturing services.
• Lead significant opportunities from identification and qualification through technical assessment, commercial development, negotiation, award, and commercialization.
• Establish commercial strategies that balance customer needs with growth, profitability, capacity, risk, and strategic goals.
• Direct global RFQs, pricing initiatives, proposals, negotiations, and strategic sourcing conversations.
• Negotiate pricing, volume commitments, forecasts, payment terms, supply commitments, long-term agreements, productivity expectations, and other commercial conditions.
• Develop global commercial best practices that span regions, sites, and product lines.
• Provide recommendations that require senior or executive approval.
• Maintain account and market intelligence, including competitive threats, sourcing trends, supplier consolidation, acquisitions, programs, technology advancements, and footprint shifts.
• Convert customer intelligence into actionable recommendations for Sales Leadership, Product Line Management, Strategic Marketing, Operations, and executive leadership.
• Conduct periodic global account reviews that cover performance, pipeline, strategic progress, risks, resources, and next steps.
• Own the TekniPlex MTS business with customers worldwide and mobilize the organization to implement account strategies.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field is required.
• An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 8 years of progressive experience in strategic account management, business development, sales, or similar commercial leadership roles.
• Experience managing large, complex customer relationships.
• Proven track record in managing global or multi-region strategic accounts is strongly preferred.
• Background in medical devices, medical components, polymers, contract manufacturing, or another highly engineered manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience in managing customer relationships across multiple business units, manufacturing locations, product platforms, and geographical areas.
• Strong understanding of medical device applications, technical requirements, specifications, manufacturing processes, and product development environments.
• Solid commercial and financial acumen, including pricing strategy, forecasting, profitability analysis, complex negotiations, contracts, and long-term agreements.
• Ability to cultivate relationships and influence decisions across customer functions and organizational levels, including senior and executive leadership.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders within a global, matrixed organization without direct reporting authority.
• Excellent strategic thinking, communication, negotiation, presentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Capability to handle multiple complex priorities, opportunities, and commercial risks independently.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed, approximately 30–50% of the time.
• Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Skilled in effectively presenting information to employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Capable of performing basic arithmetic, rates, ratios, percentages, algebra, geometry, fractions, and proportions.
• Able to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, define issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
