Global Human Resources Director

📋 Description

• Stay updated on emerging HR trends and evolving workforce expectations, assessing their implications for workforce planning, leadership capability, team effectiveness, and organizational design.

• Tackle people and workplace challenges by understanding root causes and leveraging knowledge of diversity, neurodiversity, communication styles, conflict resolution, interpersonal dynamics, and global cultural differences.

• Manage daily Core HR operations and lead a small global team.

• Act as a senior HR business partner to directors and executive leadership.

• Assist managers with staff relations issues, workplace concerns, conflict resolution, performance challenges, and investigations.

• Navigate employment regulations across a global workforce of employees and long-term contractors.

• Enhance Global HR programs and procedures to support organizational growth and improve, simplify, automate, delegate, or eliminate processes.

• Oversee the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding and collaborate with Talent Acquisition on transitions and onboarding.

• Direct compensation and bonus administration, policies, leave management, HR communications, and other employee programs.

• Manage immigration and relocation processes with staff, managers, external legal counsel, and service providers.

• Supervise Leadership and Citizenship camps within Percona’s Learning & Development program and collaborate on Product and Skills & Certification camps.

• Oversee global benefits and well-being programs, including broker and provider relationships, renewals, enrollment, staff education, and participant support.

• Facilitate Percona’s U.S. 401(k) investment committee and manage the relationship with the plan provider.

• Lead the performance management program, integrating it with compensation and Learning & Development initiatives.

• Oversee HR systems, workflows, data integrity, reporting, and people analytics.

• Identify organizational needs and convert emerging issues, global events, and staff requirements into strategies, communications, and coordinated actions.

• Champion Percona’s culture and values, enhancing its reputation as an outstanding workplace.


⛳️ Requirements

• 8-12 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of five years in an HR leadership position with substantial experience supporting a global workforce.

• Experience in a globally distributed organization with a significant employee base in the United States.

• Comprehensive HR generalist experience, encompassing staff relations, benefits, compensation, performance management, compliance, HR operations, and the employee lifecycle.

• Extensive experience as a global employment practices generalist, with familiarity in employment regulations across multiple countries and the ability to apply this knowledge with sound judgment and an awareness of when local expertise is necessary.

• Proven experience in leading and developing HR teams.

• Experience overseeing or contributing to Learning & Development initiatives, especially those focused on leadership and culture.

• Strong background in HR systems, reporting, and process improvement.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen attentively, synthesize complex issues, and offer clear recommendations.

• Strong judgment, excellent organizational abilities, and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience supporting staff across multiple countries.

• Experience working with both employees and contractors.

• SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CIPD, or an equivalent HR certification.

• Experience supporting a fully remote workforce.

• Proven track record of enhancing HR operations through technology, automation, and people analytics.

• Experience in designing or facilitating leadership and organizational citizenship development programs.
