Estimator – Detailer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Review architectural drawings and structural plans to create accurate timber and hardware material take-offs.

• Determine necessary material quantities and generate precise preliminary estimates for internal evaluation.

• Employ estimating tools and basic features of MiTek/Pryda to develop comprehensive component schedules.

• Work under the guidance of the Team Leader to produce accurate production and layout drawings utilizing MiTek/Pryda software.

• Manage daily estimating and detailing responsibilities to adhere to specified project timelines.

• Communicate in English with internal colleagues, the Team Leader, and factory/production departments to clarify design and material specifications.

• Keep detailed digital records, software data, and essential administrative or safety documentation.

• Report directly to the Pre-Cut Manager / Team Leader.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Draughting, Building Construction, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent practical experience in the industry.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting plan take-offs and estimating timber components and framing needs.

• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural plans.

• Basic familiarity with MiTek, Pryda, or comparable structural software.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Preferred: A minimum of 2 years of experience in timber framing, roof trusses, or pre-cut manufacturing settings.

• A continuous desire to learn, adapt, and take on full technical detailing responsibilities.

• Outstanding numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and commitment to deliverable accuracy.

• Strong judgment and proactive problem-solving skills when interpreting plans and technical information.

• Excellent organizational capabilities to manage changing workloads independently with integrity and reliability.
