German Language and Literature Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess the quality and precision of LLM-generated German text across various use cases, including translation, summarization, dialogue, and grammar correction.

• Edit, enhance, or rewrite German content to align with linguistic, cultural, and literary standards.

• Annotate German texts for grammatical, syntactic, semantic, and stylistic attributes.

• Detect model errors and linguistic deficiencies.

• Collaborate with AI researchers to enhance LLM performance in the German language.

• Offer comprehensive literary and linguistic feedback to support model training and evaluation.

• Curate high-quality German linguistic datasets to train and refine the model's comprehension and generation capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in German, with a strong command of grammar, syntax, and stylistics.

• Professional background in literary editing, copywriting, criticism, or NLP-related linguistic annotation in German.

• In-depth understanding of literary complexity, tone, genre-specific conventions, and regional language variations.

• Interest in AI, translation technologies, or LLM-driven language research (preferred, but not mandatory).

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot subtle translation inaccuracies or awkward phrasing.

• Strong written communication skills and experience collaborating with remote, distributed teams.

• Independent contractor engagement.

• H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not eligible.
