German Language and Literature Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess the quality and precision of LLM-generated German text in various contexts including translation, summarization, dialogue, and grammar correction.

• Modify, enhance, or recompose German content to align with linguistic, cultural, and literary standards.

• Annotate German texts for features related to grammar, syntax, semantics, and style.

• Detect model inaccuracies and linguistic deficiencies.

• Collaborate with AI researchers to enhance LLM performance in the German language.

• Offer comprehensive literary and linguistic feedback to inform model training and evaluation.

• Assist in the training and development of advanced AI models utilizing expertise in the German language.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in German, with a strong grasp of grammar, syntax, and stylistics.

• Professional experience in literary editing, copywriting, criticism, or linguistic annotation related to NLP in German.

• Solid understanding of literary nuances, tone, genre-specific norms, and regional language differences.

• Enthusiasm for AI, translation technologies, or LLM-focused language research is preferred but not mandatory.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot subtle translation inaccuracies or awkward phrasing.

• Strong written communication abilities.

• Experience collaborating with remote, distributed teams.

• Engagement as an independent contractor.

• Must be capable of working without H1-B or STEM OPT sponsorship.
