Geospatial Analyst – LC/GC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather, analyze, edit, and sustain essential geospatial datasets.

• Create and uphold GIS products utilizing ArcGIS 10.x, ArcGIS Pro, ERDAS IMAGINE, and other related geospatial software.

• Assist with JANUS Geography Land and Ground Cover production tasks.

• Conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of products.

• Analyze and process imagery and remote sensing data.

• Maintain standardized file organization and documentation.

• Collaborate with teams located in various geographic areas to meet production timelines and customer expectations.

• Use Microsoft Office 365 and Windows File Explorer for documentation and workflow management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geographic Information Science (GIS), Remote Sensing, Geography, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Over 2 years of pertinent geospatial experience.

• Prior experience in supporting JANUS Geography Land and Ground Cover initiatives, including VISNAV, IWLSISS, SoilScape, JG233, JG248, JG261, or JG 282.

• Must have experience working in support of the JANUS Geography program and/or one of its task orders.

• Proficient in using ArcGIS 10.x and/or ArcGIS Pro with relevant extensions, or ERDAS IMAGINE.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows File Explorer.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a production-oriented environment.

• Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality geospatial products.

• U.S. Citizenship typically required for most Geo Owl open positions.

• Previous Quality Control experience supporting JANUS Geography production is strongly preferred for senior-level roles.
