Associate Mapping Specialist, Biomedical Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.

📋 Description

• Complete a structured training program focused on clinical, technical, and procedural knowledge in cardiac electrophysiology.

• Assist physicians, clinical personnel, and hospital teams during advanced cardiac mapping and ablation procedures.

• Offer technical, educational, and clinical support for Medtronic’s Cardiac Ablation Solutions portfolio, which includes the Affera Mapping and Navigation System.

• Collaborate with Clinical Specialists, Mapping Specialists, and Sales teams to facilitate customer training, technology adoption, and patient care initiatives.

• Engage directly with healthcare providers in hospital and electrophysiology lab settings.

• Travel frequently to various customer accounts within the assigned geographic territory.

• Provide field-based assistance for advanced cardiac procedures and mapping/navigation technologies.

• Cultivate expertise in clinical, technical, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

• Support innovative treatment options for patients experiencing heart rhythm disorders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field, with expected graduation in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Employment sponsorship is not required now or in the future.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred.

• Willingness and ability to travel within the designated territory and work in hospital and clinical settings.

• Capability to observe live medical procedures.

• Preferred experience in healthcare, clinical, research, customer service, patient-facing, or relationship-oriented environments.

• Leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, jobs, volunteer work, research, or academic projects is preferred.

• Preferred experience in presenting technical, scientific, academic, or project-related findings.

• Experience in team-oriented projects with defined objectives and deadlines is preferred.

• Familiarity with healthcare, medical devices, human physiology, biomedical engineering, life sciences, or patient care environments is preferred.

• Exposure to infectious diseases and radiation is expected.

• Must be present in the assigned territory daily to address unscheduled needs as they arise.

• Must be able to occasionally travel outside the assigned territory, including overnight trips.

• Driving approximately 25–50% of the time within the assigned area is required.

• A valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy are mandatory; driving records will be reviewed.

• Ability to navigate throughout facilities and utilize a phone, keyboard, mouse, and personal computers is necessary.

• Must be capable of standing, sitting, and walking for up to 8 hours a day.

• For degrees obtained outside the United States, the degree must meet the requirements outlined in 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
