Associate Mapping Specialist – Biomedical Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage in a structured training program to develop clinical, technical, and procedural knowledge in cardiac electrophysiology.

• Assist physicians, clinical personnel, and hospital teams during advanced cardiac mapping and ablation procedures.

• Offer technical, educational, and clinical assistance for Medtronic's Cardiac Ablation Solutions portfolio, which includes the Affera Mapping and Navigation System.

• Collaborate with Clinical Specialists, Mapping Specialists, and Sales teams on customer training, technology implementation, and patient care initiatives.

• Work directly with healthcare providers in hospital settings and electrophysiology labs.

• Travel frequently to various customer accounts within the designated geographic territory.

• Support cutting-edge mapping and navigation technologies for both patients and providers.

• Cultivate expertise in clinical education, technical support, and customer collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field, with expected graduation in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• No need for employment sponsorship now or in the future.

• Possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.

• Preferred minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

• Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory and work in hospital and clinical settings, including observing live medical procedures.

• Experience in healthcare, clinical, research, customer service, patient-facing roles, or other relationship-driven environments preferred.

• Leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, work, volunteer activities, research, or academic projects preferred.

• Experience presenting technical, scientific, academic, or project-related information to groups or stakeholders preferred.

• Background in working on team-based projects with specific deliverables and deadlines preferred.

• Familiarity with healthcare, medical devices, human physiology, biomedical engineering, life sciences, or patient care environments preferred.

• Exposure to infectious diseases and radiation.

• Must be present in the assigned territory daily to respond to unscheduled needs as they arise.

• Occasional travel outside the assigned territory, possibly requiring overnight stays.

• Ability to drive approximately 25–50% of the time within the assigned territory, with potential overnight travel.

• Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy required; driving record will be assessed.

• Capability to navigate freely throughout the facility and utilize a phone, keyboard, and mouse.

• Visually capable of interacting with personal computers.

• Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for 8 hours a day.

• For degrees obtained outside the United States, the degree must meet the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
