Geo-Spatial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Design, analyze, and create geospatial solutions and product specifications that align with mission objectives across various global operational domains.

• Perform GIS analyses on natural resources and geospatial datasets to aid in planning, operations, and intelligence initiatives.

• Strategize, design, develop, document, and assess spatial and relational databases that fulfill customer and mission needs.

• Utilize GIS tools and analytical software for the management of spatial and tabular datasets.

• Construct geospatial databases by capturing and digitizing map data for intelligence and operational modeling purposes.

• Generate mission-ready map products and visualizations that accurately represent geospatial datasets and analytical outcomes.

• Identify, locate, and assess geospatial data sources for their accuracy, reliability, and relevance to mission objectives.

• Execute quality control and assurance checks on geospatial datasets.

• Research and create analytical reports that leverage geospatial information to support mission planning and decision-making.

• Conduct peer reviews of geospatial analyses and deliverables.

• Assist with data ingestion, quality control processes, issue resolution, and documentation.

• Sustain and update process documentation, data standards, and report templates.

• Create maps, geospatial visualizations, and supplementary materials for briefings, presentations, and mission reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; no experience required with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent along with 9 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in using JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile workflow systems.

• Knowledge of automation processes and workflows for data ingestion and transformation.

• Strong data analysis capabilities, including expertise in Excel functions such as PivotTables, formatting and standardization, and formula creation.

• Ability to produce and evaluate maps and geospatial materials for presentations and visual products.

• Experience in generating and reviewing analytical presentations and reports.

• At least 3 years of experience with ArcGIS Pro base functionality.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Agile environment.

• Familiarity with ESRI tools and platforms is preferred.

• Background in quality control processes, including schema compliance review and report quality oversight is preferred.

• Knowledge of AWS data storage, processing, and retrieval workflows is preferred.

• Understanding of maritime datasets and related geospatial considerations is preferred.

• Experience with ArcGIS Pro extensions is preferred.

• Proficiency in Python, R, or other data analysis tools is preferred.

• Security clearance: None required.

• Required travel: 0–10%.

• Ability to climb ladders and tolerate confined spaces and extreme temperature variations.
