This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.
• Deliver telephone-based assessments, triage, consultations, counseling, and informational services within a call center setting.
• Provide round-the-clock mental health support via video, live chat, or phone.
• Implement advanced clinical assessments, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused problem resolution techniques.
• Perform assessments related to risk, substance abuse, and mental health issues.
• Create immediate action and safety plans based on the urgency of the situation.
• Suggest suitable levels of mental health and substance-use care.
• Understand the needs of members and align with their personal theory of change.
• Offer information regarding mental health, substance abuse, community treatment, and associated programs.
• Organize resources and support to connect individuals with care and lifestyle-management services.
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure positive clinical outcomes and continuity of care.
• Manage multiple tasks by typing and documenting while answering calls and utilizing support tools.
• Safeguard member confidentiality and adhere to enterprise and EAP confidentiality policies.
• Keep accurate documentation that meets risk-management and regulatory standards.
• Maintain current independent behavioral health licensure and fulfill state licensure requirements.
• Engage in periodic shift bidding; schedules may be adjusted based on business requirements.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in crisis intervention.
• A valid, unrestricted independent professional behavioral health clinical license in good standing in the state of residence, such as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, LCMHC, LICSW, LISW, or Clinical Psychologist.
• Capacity to provide 24x7x365 call center coverage, including availability during holidays.
• Proven experience in facilitating positive changes in patient/client behavior.
• A designated distraction-free workspace in a room with a door that closes.
• Reliable broadband or fiber internet connection.
• Minimum home internet download speed of 400 Mbps and upload speed of 10–20 Mbps.
• A four-port modem with the fourth port designated for work internet.
• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health counseling field.
• Proficient computer and literacy skills.
• Familiarity with brief therapy models and Motivational Interviewing techniques.
• Experience in a call center environment.
• Background in working with diverse populations.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of experience in EAP, Behavioral Health, or Social Services.
• Preferred: experience in handling mental health, psychiatric care, family dynamics, and relationship issues.
• Preferred: ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport.
