This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Oversee the maintenance of generators, identify and resolve issues, install and replace components or complete systems, and carry out maintenance or enhancements on off-season equipment.
• Perform performance evaluations and regular upkeep of generators.
• Interpret and adhere to blueprints and design specifications for installation and repair tasks.
• Set up fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and additional components.
• Verify that equipment operates correctly through testing.
• Respond swiftly to power and generator alarms.
• Manage assigned phone and email communications in a timely manner.
• Adhere to safety protocols around hazards associated with power supply equipment, switchgear, and related devices.
• Utilize safety equipment and practices diligently.
• Participate in required safety and training meetings.
• Travel across the region to service and repair commercial generators located at cell phone towers.
• At least one year of substantial work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
• Preference for candidates with two or more years of experience in generator maintenance.
• Comprehensive understanding of generator installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Moderate proficiency with computer systems.
• Basic understanding of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Capability to comply with OSHA standards.
• Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Competence in visually and audibly inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and alarms.
• Willingness to drive long distances and work during day, evening, or night shifts.
• Openness to working overtime, handling emergency callouts, and being available on weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to take on 24-hour on-call responsibilities when assigned and be away from home for prolonged durations.
