General Manager – USA Operations, Business Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop scalable operational, financial, and reporting processes.

• Manage the execution from trade confirmation to cash collection.

• Create controls surrounding credit, payments, cargo release, and working capital.

• Ensure excellence in logistics, documentation, and customer service.

• Design the organizational structure and recruitment strategy for the US operation.

• Hire, lead, and nurture a high-performing team.

• Collaborate closely with commercial and global teams to foster profitable growth.

• Recognize potential obstacles and implement effective solutions proactively.

• Build and enhance the operational and financial framework of Vanden’s expanding US business.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant senior-level experience in leading operations and establishing scalable processes, controls, and teams.

• Background in commodity trading, chemicals, polymers, recycling, freight forwarding, or a related sector is highly advantageous.

• Strong commercial and financial acumen.

• Comprehensive understanding of contract-to-cash processes.

• Proven experience in establishing operational controls and business processes.

• Capacity to introduce structure without unnecessarily hindering business efficiency.

• Experience in leading teams across different locations or time zones.

• Confidence to provide constructive challenges while upholding business standards.

• Highly organized, accountable, and proactive approach.
