This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Direct HCL's evolution as a dedicated growth platform and operational entity.
• Formulate a practical multi-year strategy that aligns with WittKieffer’s mission and market objectives.
• Identify expansion opportunities in healthcare, life sciences, higher education, academic medicine, emerging sciences, and investor-backed sectors.
• Convert strategic priorities into actionable annual plans, milestones, budgets, and measurable results.
• Create diversified revenue streams, including convenings, sponsorships, event participation, partner programs, executive dinners, forums, digital content, and membership or subscription models.
• Develop and oversee financial plans; manage the HCL P&L, budgets, revenue, expenses, sponsor retention, event profitability, pipeline, and return on investment.
• Identify and foster relationships with sponsors and partners.
• Lead the planning and execution of the Healthcare Leaders Conference, JPM Week reception, executive dinner series, and other sanctioned events.
• Oversee event calendars, budgets, vendors, timelines, sponsorship deliverables, invitations, participant communications, and post-event follow-up.
• Establish repeatable operational processes to enhance quality, accountability, scalability, and the experiences of sponsors and attendees.
• Leverage technology, data, and relationship management tools to optimize invitations, participant tracking, sponsor reporting, and business development connections.
• Build a high-performing team and collaborate with Marketing and Commercial Strategy & Insights teams.
• Align HCL with WittKieffer’s overall priorities, brand strategies, and market approaches.
• Share insights between WittKieffer, HCL, and the wider market, translating activities into client engagement, market visibility, sponsor relationships, and business development opportunities.
• Develop HCL brand architecture while maintaining the legacy and credibility of Healthcare Leaders.
• Integrate events, content, thought leadership, sponsorships, and business development into a cohesive external presentation.
• Coordinate internal and external resources, including marketing, events, business development, operations, sponsors, speakers, vendors, and practice leaders.
• Manage relationships with vendors and contractors while fostering strong connections with internal stakeholders.
• Create a focused 12-month plan, enhance the sponsorship model, refine event operations, propose brand architecture, and establish a reporting dashboard.
• Propel revenue growth, sponsor retention, community expansion, high-quality event execution, brand positioning, and measurable contributions to WittKieffer’s thought leadership and business development.
• A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• Relevant experience in business management, events, sponsorships, media, associations, professional services, or community-based commercial platforms will be considered.
• A minimum of ten years of pertinent experience in business management, revenue growth, sponsorships, events, convening platforms, professional associations, industry communities, media, or professional services.
• Proven ability to grow a small or emerging business, product line, program, and/or platform through disciplined resource management.
• Experience in developing sponsorship, partnership, event, membership, or community-based revenue models.
• Strong project management and execution skills, including budget management, vendor oversight, and cross-functional coordination.
• Experience collaborating with senior executives, investors, board members, sponsors, industry leaders, or professional services partners.
• Familiarity with healthcare, life sciences, higher education, academic medicine, emerging sciences, or investor-backed markets is preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly for HCL events, sponsor meetings, market engagement, and internal collaboration.
• A commercial mindset, strategic thinking ability, execution discipline, relationship-building skills, collaboration, brand judgment, resourcefulness, and a results-driven approach.
