This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Investigate and manage claims related to auto, bodily injury, property damage, and general liability.
• Review police and hospital records, assess photographs and statements, and collect recorded statements as necessary.
• Provide well-founded liability assessments.
• Analyze and evaluate bodily injury demands while negotiating claims to reach settlements.
• Assess and compute total loss settlements for vehicles and claims for diminished value.
• Review and calculate non-vehicle property damage with appropriate documentation.
• Negotiate and conclude claim settlements, addressing Medicare, Medi-Cal, provider, and attorney lien resolutions, in accordance with client authority.
• Keep organized records, reports, diaries, and files within the CMIS.
• Record both verbal and written case activities in the CMIS.
• Generate timely status reports for clients.
• Address inquiries within required timelines.
• Maintain proactive communication with injured workers, employers, carriers, legal counsel, and vendors throughout the claims process.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; relevant work experience may substitute.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in adjusting auto and general liability claims.
• Experience with governmental immunity is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively.
• Strong skills in negotiation and settlement.
• Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Possess analytical and interpretive abilities.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of working effectively in a team environment and meeting or surpassing service expectations.
• Willingness to travel regularly for mediations, settlement conferences, and hearings, potentially exceeding two hours each way.
