General Ledger Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Prepare and uphold General Ledger journal entries accompanied by proper documentation and audit trails.

• Take ownership of significant elements in the monthly closing process, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Guarantee the accuracy of balance sheet and P&L accounts in accordance with US GAAP and Local GAAP.

• Prepare and evaluate monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and GAAP reconciliations.

• Collaborate across functions to manage intercompany transactions and closing activities.

• Provide support during audits and compile reporting packages for leadership.

• Aid in tax filings, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, and withholding taxes.

• Identify potential areas for process enhancements and assist in implementing solutions.

• Support LATAM entities within the Controllership team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or Record-to-Report processes, including the preparation and maintenance of the General Ledger.

• Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Capability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.

• Flexibility and enthusiasm for working with automation systems, AI tools, and other process improvement initiatives.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with ERP systems; Oracle is preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Knowledge of US GAAP is advantageous.

• Advanced English proficiency is required for daily responsibilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred.
