GCP FHIR Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive cloud reference architectures on GCP for the ingestion, processing, storage, and delivery of clinical data, adhering to HL7 FHIR standards.

• Oversee the implementation and management of GCP Healthcare Data Engine (HDE), Cloud Healthcare API, BigQuery, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub to facilitate high-throughput healthcare workflows.

• Develop pipelines to transform legacy healthcare data formats (HL7 v2, C-CDA, DICOM) into FHIR resources and JSON formats.

• Ensure all cloud architectures meet HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR, and SOC 2 compliance standards by utilizing IAM, KMS, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) measures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years in cloud architecture, including at least 3 years focused on GCP healthcare solutions.

• Extensive knowledge of HL7 FHIR (STU3, R4), including FHIR profiling, resources, bundles, and RESTful API operations.

• Proficient in Cloud Healthcare API, BigQuery, Dataflow/Apache Beam, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions/Run, and IAM.

• Familiarity with legacy formats (HL7 v2, CCDA, X12 EDI) and integration engines (Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, or GCP native mapping).

• Strong skills in SQL, NoSQL, and relational data modeling for healthcare analytics.
