GCP Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop, automate, and manage a secure Google Cloud platform for federal clients.

• Configure and maintain Google Cloud networking, identity and access management, and Kubernetes (GKE).

• Create and uphold Terraform infrastructure as code.

• Establish CI/CD pipelines with built-in security checks.

• Oversee the platform, diagnose problems, and determine root causes.

• Implement NIST and FedRAMP-aligned security measures, address vulnerabilities, and supply audit evidence.

• Set up environments for new clients and assist with their technical inquiries.

• Automate repetitive processes, document tasks, and disseminate knowledge among the team.

• Engage in hands-on work as a member of an Agile team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in cloud, platform, or infrastructure engineering, with 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Practical experience with Terraform or a comparable infrastructure as code tool.

• Proficient in building CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build.

• Familiarity with GCP IAM, VPC networking, and Kubernetes.

• Scripting capabilities in Python or Bash.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

• Working knowledge of NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, or similar security frameworks from prior experience in a regulated setting.

• Strong communication skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
