Future Student Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Assist the Senior Regional Manager in implementing student recruitment strategies and reaching recruitment goals for China.

• Play a role in the China Country Plan, encompassing market analysis, recruitment priorities, and annual event organization.

• Represent The University of Sydney at various recruitment events, exhibitions, and visits to schools and universities.

• Deliver engaging presentations to students and key influencers.

• Provide market insights, competitor analysis, recruitment progress reports, and budget details to relevant stakeholders.

• Coordinate recruitment events, managing bookings, logistics, and marketing materials in collaboration with the broader team.

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of China's admissions criteria as well as undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

• Communicate fluently in English and Mandarin while embodying the University’s brand, prestige, and core messages.

• Cultivate relationships with educational agents, schools, universities, articulation partners, government bodies, and corporate entities.

• Collaborate effectively with the Sydney Future Students team.

• Connect prospective students with educational opportunities at the University of Sydney and assist them in navigating their path to a premier education.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, along with relevant experience as a university representative or in a foreign government role.

• In-depth knowledge of the international education landscapes in both China and Australia.

• Experience in developing and executing student recruitment strategies and initiatives.

• Exceptional communication skills in English and Mandarin, including public speaking, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

• Demonstrated capability in building strong networks with schools, communities, educational partners, and organizations assisting students from China.

• Strong organizational, planning, stakeholder coordination, interpersonal, and multicultural skills.

• Ability to effectively influence stakeholders.

• Self-driven, disciplined, and focused on customer satisfaction.

• Dedication to providing outstanding customer service and supporting prospective students.

• Full working rights in China.

• Availability to start immediately or on short notice.

• Willingness to travel for business and work outside of regular hours, including weekends, when necessary.
