Funding Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Oversee the intake, submission, and follow-up processes for new product, repair, and equipment rental orders.

• Liaise with SLPs regarding funding cases and guide them on document preparation, funding policies, and regulations.

• Collaborate with insurance companies, government bodies, and educational institutions to facilitate order placements.

• Monitor funding authorization cases to ensure timely resolutions.

• Utilize online resources and engage with funding agencies to confirm eligibility.

• Assess prior authorization documents against the criteria set by third-party payers.

• Investigate past orders and payment history/DSOs for requests related to repairs or new orders.

• Enter and finalize orders within the order management system database.

• Advocate for clients by communicating with them and their family members about funding requests and co-payment obligations.

• Represent client cases with third-party insurance providers and troubleshoot issues to reach resolutions.

• Address third-party denials and consult on complex funding cases to achieve finalization.

• Notify the supervisor of potential challenges posed by third-party payers.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

• Bachelor's Degree or 2–4 years of relevant experience.

• Preferred background in the health insurance sector.

• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

• Customer service oriented.

• Proficient in internet navigation.

• Familiarity with MS Office Word and Outlook.

• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work at a desk for extended periods.

• Competent in managing interruptions in a dynamic work setting.
