This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy for families, individuals, and groups dealing with eating disorders and related diagnoses in a virtual clinic/telehealth environment.
• Apply FBT, CBT-E, CBT-AR, and other evidence-supported treatment methods across different age groups.
• Manage a caseload of 30-40 patients, providing 20-26 hours of direct care while completing necessary administrative responsibilities.
• Evaluate and diagnose mental health issues.
• Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external healthcare providers.
• Utilize between-session messaging and engage with the treatment team via Equip’s EMR system.
• Attend treatment team meetings, supervision sessions, departmental meetings, and ongoing training opportunities.
• Preserve licensure in the primary state and obtain additional licenses as required.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
• Hold an active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in Virginia.
• Ability to assist patients of all ages, with co-occurring conditions, diverse backgrounds, cultures, and varying levels of acuity.
• Availability to provide care two evenings a week until 8 PM in the primary time zone of the patient caseload.
• Commitment to 30 hours per week of availability for direct patient care.
• Willingness to deliver a minimum of 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM during the week, or 3 PM in Mountain Standard Time.
• Capability to attend mandatory meetings.
• Strong belief in evidence-based care and treatment practices.
• Proficiency in providing safe and effective care in a virtual setting.
• Enthusiasm for mental health and the treatment of eating disorders.
• Completion of a graduate program; applicants must possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited mental health counseling or therapy program or an equivalent accrediting body.
• Experience with Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder treatment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment and/or intensive treatment environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in supporting patients with suicidal ideation and trauma is preferred but not mandatory.
• Background in case management and/or working with multidisciplinary care teams is preferred but not mandatory.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
