This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, create, and sustain fully online undergraduate asynchronous and competency-based education (CBE) courses and modules.
• Collaborate with faculty and subject matter experts to ensure alignment of curriculum, course learning outcomes, instructional content, learning activities, and assessments.
• Create course design maps, storyboards, syllabi, resources for instructors and learners, instructional content, multimedia elements, assessments, and rubrics.
• Construct and/or transfer instructional content into the designated Learning Management System (LMS).
• Implement evidence-based instructional design along with adult-learning and andragogical principles.
• Develop resources for faculty development that emphasize effective online teaching and create resources for student development that support success in asynchronous and CBE settings.
• Establish and manage community sites for faculty and students.
• Review, update, and maintain existing courses, modules, links, media, assessments, and other instructional materials.
• Assist in identifying and rectifying inaccurate, outdated, missing, or broken course content.
• Adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and Universal Design for Learning principles.
• Conduct usability testing, peer reviews, quality assurance, and/or pilot testing of course components, and aid in the development of QA reports.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and adhere to established schedules for course development and maintenance.
• Provide technical support for LMS/course content as required, including help with course navigation, content access, assignments, quizzes, multimedia, and other course functionalities.
• A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in developing online asynchronous and competency-based education (CBE) courses for accredited colleges and universities, as well as for military-affiliated educational institutions.
• At least 7 years of experience implementing andragogical best practices in instructional design for working adults, demonstrated through the development of two (2) or more programs for this demographic.
• A minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience and expertise in designing and developing faculty-development courses or programs aimed at improving online teaching effectiveness (online pedagogy) at accredited institutions.
• At least 7 years of proven experience in creating online courses that equip students with the necessary skills, strategies, and habits for success in online learning environments (traditional asynchronous and CBE).
• A minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience in operating and maintaining a Learning Management System (LMS) at scale, including new course development and ongoing course maintenance, within a higher education or government training environment.
