Full-Stack Engineer, Kotlin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable backend services and applications based on microservices architecture.

• Establish and execute integration patterns between internal and external systems.

• Engage in architectural decision-making related to distributed systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and application design.

• Develop backend solutions primarily utilizing Kotlin and Spring Boot.

• Assist with frontend applications constructed with TypeScript, Nuxt, and NuxtUI when necessary, while concentrating on backend development.

• Design and manage cloud-native workloads on the Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run.

• Define and uphold infrastructure utilizing Terraform.

• Take part in code reviews and pair programming sessions.

• Implement Test-Driven Development practices and uphold automated testing standards.

• Write maintainable, modular, and well-structured code adhering to Clean Code principles.

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.

• Employ AI-assisted software engineering tools and methodologies.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Document technical solutions, architectural choices, and development processes using Confluence.

• Oversee development activities utilizing Jira, Git, and GitLab.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in backend software development.

• In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of common enterprise integration patterns.

• Significant hands-on experience with Kotlin.

• Robust experience with Spring Boot.

• Proficient in designing and developing REST APIs and service-to-service integrations.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native application development.

• Practical experience with Cloud Run or similar container/serverless platforms.

• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

• Comprehensive understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD), Clean Code, code reviews, pair programming, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

• Strong experience with Git-based development workflows, ideally using GitLab.

• Experience in collaborative development environments utilizing Jira and Confluence.

• Familiarity with integrating AI tools into software engineering workflows.

• Experience with TypeScript, Single Page Applications, Nuxt, NuxtUI, broader full-stack development, and containerized/serverless cloud environments is an advantage.
