Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with product, operations, and support teams to design, develop, and maintain the LabArchives suite of Electronic Laboratory Notebook, Inventory, and Scheduler products.

• Plan, build, test, and release new software features in an iterative manner.

• Develop and uphold a comprehensive unit test suite.

• Engage in the creation and enhancement of the automation testing framework.

• Take part in code reviews, security audits, and accessibility assessments.

• Leverage technology expertise across various systems and processes while contributing to LabArchives' global growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and 8+ years of experience.

• A technology enthusiast with a strong desire for learning and continuous improvement.

• Practical experience across front-end, back-end, and database layers.

• Server-side development experience using Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or PHP, with a preference for Ruby on Rails.

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.

• Understanding of database design principles.

• Knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.

• Proficiency in modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across various departments.

• Hands-on experience with SaaS products in a regulated or research-oriented industry (preferred but not required).

• Familiarity with automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines (preferred but not required).

• Exposure to accessibility standards such as WCAG and security best practices (preferred but not required).

• An interest in scientific or educational technology (preferred but not required).
