This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design, develop, and evaluate full-stack components, encompassing enterprise web service APIs, backend services, and user interfaces that utilize REST APIs.
• Create both internal and external interfaces utilizing Microservices and automation patterns as part of a comprehensive system modernization effort.
• Collaborate with product management to convert requirements into technical designs and deliver precise estimates.
• Contribute across the entire stack in design, development, and testing utilizing a cloud technology platform such as GCP.
• Define, implement, and sustain unit and integration tests.
• Produce high-quality, production-ready code in brief, iterative increments.
• Work closely with engineering and QA teams to enhance and manage the development pipeline.
• Partner with security teams to guarantee adherence to required security controls.
• A minimum of four (4) years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree; an additional four (4) years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency in enterprise software design, implementation, and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Solid programming experience in Java, including frameworks like Spring Boot or similar.
• Experience in a Scrum-based development environment.
• Practical experience with JIRA, Bamboo or Jenkins, Bitbucket (Git), and Confluence.
• Familiarity with JSON, YAML, and XML.
• Experience in developing distributed, modular system architectures (Microservices, SOA).
• Comprehensive understanding of modern cloud networking concepts and enterprise security best practices, including GCP-native security controls and SAST/DAST methodologies or similar cloud environments.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Background in cloud development.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards.
• Experience utilizing Postman or similar tools to test web services.
• Familiarity with application servers or containers like JBoss or Tomcat.
• Extensive experience with continuous integration and deployment tools.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL data stores.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust; approved adjudication is required prior to onboarding.
