Frontend Developer – Test Automation, React, TypeScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Implement defined UI enhancements for a production SaaS solution.

• Ensure thorough automated test coverage.

• Evaluate frontend functionality in relation to Coupa and other enterprise system integrations.

• Develop component, integration, functional, end-to-end, contract, accessibility, and regression tests.

• Assess data mapping, transformation, and integration workflows, including configurations specific to customers.

• Verify role-based access control within a production SaaS application.

• Analyze contract drift and address issues with failing builds, tests, coverage, and quality gates.

• Create test documentation, defect reports, and compliance records.

• Collaborate using Git pull requests, conduct code reviews, and engage with CI pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of practical experience in React and TypeScript development within a production environment.

• Proficient in working with an established design system or component library.

• Strong grasp of React component architecture, hooks, state management, forms, and component composition.

• Direct experience with React 18 and contemporary build tools such as Vite.

• Familiarity with API-driven web applications and JSON-based REST APIs.

• Significant hands-on experience in automated testing using Jest, along with Playwright or Cypress.

• Experience in writing component/integration tests for React applications and crafting regression suites.

• Proficient in contract testing against versioned APIs, including Pact or similar, and in identifying/investigating contract drift.

• Experience in developing automated tests for data mapping, transformation, and integration workflows, including customer-specific setups.

• Background in a production SaaS application, preferably multi-tenant, with testing experience related to role-based access control (RBAC).

• Practical experience in accessibility testing and remediation aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA.

• Proficient in using Git, managing pull requests, conducting code reviews, and working with CI pipelines.

• Capability to address issues with failing builds, tests, coverage, and quality gates.

• Excellent command of written English for test documentation, defect reporting, and compliance records.

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.

• Ability to articulate the use of AI-assisted development tools within workflows.
