French STEM Expert, PhD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Craft expert-level scientific prompts in French.

• Generate technically precise content across specialized STEM disciplines.

• Assess technical responses for scientific accuracy, relevance, and utility.

• Detect incorrect assumptions, terminology, mechanisms, or conclusions.

• Review and annotate scientific responses based on structured criteria.

• Consistently classify prompts and discussions.

• Evaluate technical content that may involve sensitive or dual-use information.

• Implement structured guidelines to address scientific safety considerations.

• Examine contemporary laboratory and computational techniques, experimental assumptions, and technical workflows.

• Review scientific terminology, methodologies, and logical reasoning.

• Generate technically accurate and naturally flowing French-language scientific content.

• Clearly document evaluation decisions and scientific safety assessments in written English.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD completed or currently in progress in chemistry, biology, or a closely related STEM field.

• Native or near-native proficiency in French.

• Professional-level written English skills.

• Extensive expertise in a specific scientific subfield.

• Strong familiarity with modern laboratory and/or computational methods.

• Excellent scientific reasoning skills and meticulous attention to technical details.

• Sound judgment regarding scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.

• Research or coursework experience in chemical safety and security, biosafety, biosecurity, or hazardous-materials handling is beneficial.

• Experience in reviewing, grading, evaluating, or red-teaming technical content is a plus.

• Previous experience with AI or machine learning is not a prerequisite.

• Candidates located in France or broader Western Europe are especially encouraged to apply, though applicants from other regions are also welcome.

• Work must be conducted without utilizing confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third parties.
