Freelance Translator – English into Danish, Legal, Technical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread various documents for a diverse clientele.

• Create and finalize translated materials prior to client delivery.

• Translate texts from English into Danish.

• Handle legal Terms and Conditions, as well as Contracts.

• Work on Information Technology User Interface content.

• Collaborate effectively with managers and Project Managers.

• Include pertinent experience in Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM, along with proposed per-word rates in your CV.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Danish.

• Specialization in Legal (Terms/Conditions and Contracts) and/or Information Technology (User Interface).

• Keen attention to detail, including spelling and grammar.

• Ability to uphold professionalism in all scenarios, particularly under tight deadlines.

• Candidates must sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Applicants are required to complete Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM assessments.

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or a comparable degree with substantial translation training from a recognized higher education institution; OR

• Two years of translation experience along with a college degree; OR

• Five years of translation experience without a college degree; OR

• A certificate of competence in translation issued by an appropriate government authority.
