Freelance Spanish Linguist – IT & Software Project

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Execute Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) for Spanish (Spain) content.

• Provide human translation services on an as-needed basis.

• Assess and refine translated materials to ensure linguistic precision, fluency, consistency, and naturalness.

• Handle IT and software-related content following project-specific guidelines and terminology.

• Engage in long-term collaboration on international localization initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a native speaker of Spanish (Spain); other varieties of Spanish will not be considered.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a linguist, translator, or MTPE expert.

• Demonstrated experience in IT/software localization.

• Exceptional command of Spanish (Spain) grammar, style, and terminology.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure consistency across large volumes of text.

• Capability to work independently and adhere to established deadlines.

• Familiarity with CAT tools and localization workflows is highly advantageous.

• Willingness to undertake a client-specific translation assessment.
